Snub Line Is a heavy rope that secures a team to an immovable object while the dogs are being hitched to the gang line. One end of the rope is attached to the gang line carabiner; the other has a quick-release snap that allows for fast release of the team when tension is applied. Picket Line The easiest and safest way to secure a number of dogs before or after a run or on trail overnights is by the use of a picket line. It is strung between two immovable objects and has individual dog drop lines with swivel snaps placed at five-foot intervals. A cable line adds security by discouraging dogs from chewing. Helmet A bicycle helmet is used most often. At events this article is compulsory.
